1. Organiser
The organiser is MI Ventrix UG (Haftungsbeschränkt), represented by managing director Mathis Imgart, Lange Straße 35, 73033 Göppingen (hereinafter "Organiser").
2. Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to all events held under the VORTEX Festival brand, in particular the main event as well as all Summer Editions and Club Editions. By purchasing a ticket, the buyer (hereinafter "Customer") enters into an event contract with the Organiser. Every attendee accepts these Terms and Conditions upon purchasing a ticket or entering the event venue.
3. Contract Formation
A ticket enquiry on the website or in the ticket shop does not constitute a contractual offer, but an invitation to submit an offer by the Customer. The contract is only concluded upon transmission of the order confirmation by the respective ticketing platform (including ticket.io and TicketSwap). Orders may only be placed by customers who are of legal age and have full legal capacity. A right of withdrawal does not exist pursuant to § 312g(2)(9) of the German Civil Code (BGB).
4. Ticket Returns & Cancellations
The return or cancellation of tickets is generally excluded. No exchange or refund will be provided in the event of programme changes, line-up changes, or the cancellation of individual artists, as long as the event takes place overall and retains its general character.
5. Ticket Resale
Tickets may only be resold through our official partner TicketSwap. The resale price must not exceed the face value printed on the ticket. Any resale beyond this — in particular via eBay, Kleinanzeigen, Viagogo, or similar platforms — is prohibited.
Tickets resold at a surcharge or through unauthorised channels will be blocked. Tickets reported as lost or stolen will also be blocked. No right to a refund exists in these cases.
Possession of a ticket does not constitute an absolute right of entry. The right of entry belongs to the person who acquired the right to attend directly from an official source and is able to attend the event.
6. Entry & House Rules
Entry is only permitted with a valid ticket. Each ticket entitles one person to a single entry. Re-entry after leaving the event venue is not permitted for noise protection reasons.
A security check (body and bag search) will be carried out at entry. Attendees agree to this by attending.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to individuals, in particular in cases of:
- Carrying prohibited items (see Section 8)
- Obvious severe intoxication by alcohol or drugs
- Recognisably homophobic, sexist, racist, or dehumanising attitudes
- Violation of youth protection regulations
Where entry is refused on these grounds, the ticket is forfeited without any right to a refund.
7. Age Restriction
Entry is restricted to persons aged 18 and over — no exceptions. The German Youth Protection Act (Jugendschutzgesetz) applies. Valid official photo ID (national ID card, passport, or driving licence) will be checked at entry.
8. Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited throughout the entire event venue:
- Own food and beverages (exceptions for documented intolerances with a medical certificate)
- Glass bottles and glass containers of any kind
- Weapons of any kind (including items covered by the German Weapons Act as well as weapon-like objects such as kitchen knives and tools)
- Pyrotechnics, fireworks, torches, sparklers
- Drones and unmanned aerial vehicles
- Professional photo and film equipment without prior written authorisation from the Organiser
- Deodorant, spray cans, caustic, flammable, or staining substances
- Liquid containers in unusual quantities (e.g. nail polish remover, perfume, body lotion)
- Medication in unusual quantities or not in original packaging
- Bulky items (flags, umbrellas, etc.)
- Megaphones, vuvuzelas
- Markers and pens (except make-up)
The Organiser is entitled to confiscate prohibited items. Non-compliance may result in immediate removal from the venue.
9. Code of Conduct & Awareness
The following is prohibited on the event premises:
- Physical violence against other attendees, staff, or third parties
- Throwing objects onto the stage or at other attendees
- Urinating outside of designated toilet facilities
- Damaging, spraying, or defacing structures, walls, or property
- Climbing stages, trusses, or structures
- Conducting commercial trade or marketing activities without prior written consent from the Organiser
VORTEX stands for a respectful, discrimination-free environment. Aggressive, discriminatory, violent, racist, sexist, or queerphobic behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the venue without any right to a refund. Our awareness team is available at all times.
10. Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the venue in accordance with applicable law. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
11. Noise & Health
Attendees are aware that the event — particularly near the stages — involves elevated noise levels and that there is a risk of hearing damage. The use of ear protection is strongly recommended. Attendees should adjust their location and duration of exposure according to their individual needs.
12. Event Cancellation & Force Majeure
If the event is cancelled prior to commencement, attendees are entitled to a refund of the ticket price (excluding booking and service fees). In the event of cancellation or interruption due to force majeure — including in particular official orders, severe weather, or safety-related events — no right to a refund exists, unless the Organiser can be shown to have acted with intent or gross negligence. Travel and accommodation costs will not be reimbursed.
13. Lockers & Additional Services
Lockers and other additional services (e.g. upgrade tickets) are optional add-ons. They are non-transferable and valid exclusively for the specified event. Unused additional services are forfeited without replacement; refunds are excluded.
14. Photo and Video Recordings
Private photo and video recordings using smartphones or basic digital cameras are permitted for personal use. The personal rights of third parties must be respected at all times. Professional recordings require prior written authorisation from the Organiser.
By entering the event venue, attendees consent to the creation of photo and audio-visual recordings during the event and their use for the purposes of reporting, documentation, and self-promotion by the Organiser across all known media — including the website and social media channels (including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
15. Parking
Parking spaces are available in limited numbers. Travel by train is recommended. Parking in designated areas is at the attendee's own risk; the Organiser accepts no liability for damage or theft.
16. Liability
The Organiser is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for minor negligence in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations, limited to foreseeable, typical damages. Any further liability is excluded. Liability for damages to life, body, and health remains unaffected. The Organiser accepts no liability for lost or damaged property.
17. Data Protection

18. Final Provisions
German law applies exclusively. Place of jurisdiction is Göppingen. Should any individual provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected; the invalid provision shall be replaced by one that comes closest to the intended purpose in a legally valid manner. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The Organiser is not obliged to participate in consumer dispute resolution proceedings.
